On Monday, May 11, Vladimir Putin will hold a workshop on the situation with coronavirus in Russia, during which, among other things, a possible extension of non-working days after May 12 will be discussed.

This was announced by press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“A meeting is scheduled for the president tomorrow,” the Kremlin spokesman answered the question of whether to expect a decision to extend the weekend while preserving wages. His words are quoted by TASS.

Recall that in connection with the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Russia, Vladimir Putin initially declared a non-working week from March 28 to April 5. Then the periods of non-working days were extended until April 30 and until May 11.

It is worth recalling that at the end of April, Vladimir Putin declared the period from May 6 to 8 non-working with salary preservation.

The Ministry of Labor explained then that on the three days the same principle of remuneration as in April would apply.

“That is, wages are maintained and paid in the usual amount,” the agency quoted the Ministry of Labor as saying.

Earlier, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov said that the wages of employees should not be reduced if their labor duties did not change during the non-working days.

“If we are talking about the amount of remuneration, then if your job responsibilities, job duties have not changed, your salary should correspond to the level that was in the usual mode of work,” he said on the television channel “Russia 24”.

Self isolation mode

Meanwhile, a number of regions of the Russian Federation have already decided to extend restrictive measures to control the spread of coronavirus. So, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a document on May 7, according to which the self-isolation regime is extended until May 31. The leadership of the Moscow region and the mayor's office of St. Petersburg did the same.

In turn, the head of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratiev announced the extension of the regime of self-isolation in the region until May 23.

“Together with the chief doctors of the regional clinics, the leadership of the Rospotrebnadzor of the region decided to extend ... until May 23,” RIA Novosti quoted Kondratyev as saying.

The self-isolation regime was also extended in the Primorsky Territory - the authorities of the region preserved it until May 31. The head of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, said that the removal of exemptions would be a premature measure, since daily increase in patients with coronavirus is recorded in the territory of Primorye. At the same time, in the event of an improvement in the epidemiological situation in the region, measures will be taken to gradually open trade facilities, hotels and restaurants.

Note that the president instructed the government and departments to work out a plan to exit the country from self-isolation from the 12th.

At the same time, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova noted that the scenario of the COVID-19 epidemic in Russia and the passage of the peak depend, inter alia, on whether the population will observe self-isolation during the May holidays. She did not rule out that restrictions could extend until June.

As of May 10, 11,012 new cases of coronavirus infection in 83 regions of the country were confirmed in Russia. At the same time, according to the operational headquarters for monitoring and monitoring the situation with COVID-19, the total number of infected people in the country reached 209,688. Of the new patients, 42.4% did not have clinical manifestations of the disease. A day earlier, 10,817 cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in Russia, 1915 (0.9%) deaths from complications that developed against the backdrop of COVID-19 and associated diseases have been recorded. Over the past day, 88 people have died.

At the same time, a total of 34 306 people (16.4%) recovered from coronavirus infection in the country, including 2390 in the last 24 hours.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, in Russia more than 5.4 million tests for coronavirus were carried out, including 226.4 thousand for the last day. Almost 243.5 thousand people remain under medical supervision.

In Russia, Moscow ranks first in the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 (109,740). In the capital, 5551 people with coronavirus were detected per day. A day earlier, this figure was 5667, in the previous 24 hours - 5846.
