The government has validated the resumption of horse racing in France, the organizing companies announced on Saturday. They will be held behind closed doors, from Monday, and in compliance with strict "decisive" sanitary measures for the holding of this activity. 

The thoroughbreds and trotters will resume service on Monday at the Vichy racecourse (Allier), the government having validated the resumption of horse racing in France, announced on Saturday the organizing companies.

"The extreme importance of barrier gestures on racetracks"

The races will be held behind closed doors from Monday, May 11, in accordance with the programs established by the parent companies France Galop and LeTrot, who "welcome" in a joint statement of government support for the sector. The trotters will open the post-containment ball on the Vichy racecourse which will host the first Quinté.

The parent companies recall "the extreme importance of barrier gestures on racetracks and thank all those involved in racing to respect all the sanitary measures which are decisive for the recovery".
