United States: Donald Trump is optimistic about the end of confinement

Deprived of meetings for several weeks, the American president made a trip to Arizona on May 5. Donald Trump met with representatives of the Navajo tribe hard hit by the Covid-19, visited a factory that makes protective masks, and gave a speech to employees and local officials. With a dominant message: the American economy is ready to restart.

Coming to congratulate the workers who make protective masks, the American president gave his speech the appearance of an electoral rally. Donald Trump brought in a couple of restaurateurs who sang his praises, called an employee to testify, savored the applause and hammered his message: the worst of the epidemic has passed, the American economy will restart.

Our country is now in the next phase of the battle, a very safe and gradual reopening ," he said. We did the right thing and now we are reopening our country. We are going to have a transition phase and I think that next year we will have one of the strongest years in a long time  . ”

The President compared the Americans to warriors. Donald Trump has acknowledged that some will have to pay a heavy price for the disease. But he wants to turn to a future he promises to be glorious and to close his speech, the air that we usually hear at the end of the meeting has been broadcast.
