My sister works at the nursing home, a week ago she had a sore throat, fever and a little bit of breathing when she called the hospital and wondered what to do. They answered "wait" and "you do not have corona", how do they know it by phone?
- It is a medical assessment made by staff with broad knowledge support. However, it is always a snapshot - if you deteriorate after being in contact with the health care you should contact them again. If you become acutely ill, you should contact 112, says Maria Löfgren.
What does the sampling look like in Halland? Which ones have been tried? Have you increased the number of samples?
- In the first instance, patients who are seriously ill are being tested. We also try out those who live in elderly homes and who need home care, as well as care staff. We have gradually increased the capacity and are working to increase it further, says the infection control physician Maria Löfgren.
Both Halland and Värmland show a sharp increase in reported cases in recent days. Could it be because of all summer cottage owners on the west coast who made recommendations and came here during Easter?Region Halland responds: “The sharp increase that could be seen during one day was due to figures from several days being reported on Tuesday. Region Halland responds: “Cleaning of public spaces requires every landlord to take responsibility for the procedures that are usually in place. Then the landlords also need to take the extra measures that may be required based on the recommendations that are now available. The best thing you can do is address the shortcomings of your landlord and protect yourself by following the recommendations on, among other things, hand hygiene. "
Who or who is responsible for ensuring that schools make a risk assessment to prevent infection?
Region Halland responds: “The principal of the schools is the municipalities who have a continuous dialogue with the infection control activities in Region Halland. Infection protection follows developments and makes efforts that may be required based on the situation at different schools.
