The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA” has announced the launch of a new medical examination center in Mussafah to support the national survey project, which aims to provide medical examinations for the emerging corona virus (COFED-19) to the largest possible population of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the Department Health - Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Center for Public Health, Abu Dhabi Police, Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, Department of Municipalities and Transport and Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.

The project aims to conduct 335 thousand medical examinations for residents and workers in the Musaffah region over the next two weeks and raise awareness among them about the preventive measures required to reduce the risk of infection with the virus, in addition to what they must do if they show symptoms of infection.

The UAE has completed more than a million examinations since the first case was recorded in late January, which places the country in the sixth position globally in terms of the number of exams.

The initiative is part of the UAE government’s mission to examine the largest possible number of the country's population and provide the necessary medical care to those who need it. The launch of the national survey project plays a vital role in providing easy and convenient examination facilities for the residents of Mussafah. In addition, the initiative guarantees residents access to medical teams and trained volunteers who speak their languages. The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi has launched a program to communicate with private sector companies with the aim of urging its employees to conduct a medical examination for the Covid-19 virus, and to spread awareness among them about this virus. The Municipalities and Transport Department will provide free transportation to and from the examination centers.

As part of the national survey project, SEHA has built a new testing center that will operate with an area of 3,500 square meters and will increase the capacity of daily checks in Abu Dhabi by 80%. The newly built center is designed to ensure comfort and safety for both visitors and healthcare professionals. The center is characterized by providing the utmost comfort in light of the high temperature, and registering, sorting and checking visitors without any contact.
