The incident happened about half past one. Police took up the hunt for the boy who was driving at high speed through central Sävsjö. According to police, the speed was up to about 100 kilometers per hour.
But a few kilometers outside Sävsjö on County Road 127, the hunt ended when the boy drove off the road and into a tree. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital for control. The injury situation is unclear, but according to a message from SOS he should have been able to get out of the car himself.
The boy who should have taken the car from a relative without permission, is now suspected of unlawful driving and carelessness in traffic.
