The aesthetic students at Härnösand's high school have practiced choral singing at a distance since being sent home for distance education. Choral singing that is best experienced with others has thus been an impossibility. Instead, the students were allowed to record their own vocals, which since the former pupil and artist Tony "Naima" Öberg sound processed.

The listener is fooling

The result of Evert Taube's "As Long as the Shot Can Go" lures the listener into thinking that the students were in the same place during the recording. But just hearing their own voice outside the safe chorus was tough for many students.

- It was a bit uncomfortable to just hear yourself and record it and send it away. then it is easy to get 10-20 recordings and then maybe you give up anyway or send it away. some have certainly become a little broken, but it has also been instructive not to stand and help all the time, says driving instructor Margareta Björklin.
