Pompeo says it has evidence that the coronavirus comes from a laboratory in Wuhan

The United States continues to put pressure on China. After Donald Trump this week, it is the Secretary of State's turn to accuse Beijing and claim to have evidence that the virus left the Wuhan laboratory.

Questioned this Sunday morning on the American chain ABC, the secretary of state appeared confident. For Mike Pompeo, there is no doubt that the Covid-19 comes from the laboratory of Wuhan.

"  There is significant evidence that this is where it all started, " he insisted. Remember that China is known for its propensity to expose the world and to use laboratories that are not up to standard. It is not the first time that we have had viruses and epidemics resulting from faulty Chinese laboratories. "

The Secretary of State, however, took care not to detail this evidence, like Donald Trump who also made the same comments this week. New assertions as Thursday, the US intelligence services said in a report that they are still investigating for the moment and that nothing has been decided as to the exact origin of this epidemic.

In the same interview, Mike Pompeo also called on the intelligence services to continue their investigations to "   be sure and certain even if the evidence is already there  ".

It is not the first time that the United States has accused China since the start of this pandemic. The US Secretary of State has once again criticized the lack of cooperation from the Chinese authorities. "  We need to have access, we need samples of the virus, and the Chinese Communist Party continues to block everything  ," concluded Mike Pompeo.
