Seoul ruled out North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un had surgery, the day after leader Kim reappeared after a three-week absence and sparked many speculations about his health.

The South Korean Yonhap News Agency quoted a senior official in the Presidential Blue House as saying that his country's estimate is that the North Korean leader did not undergo surgery.

"There have been reports of speculation that Leader Kim will undergo surgery based on some variation in his way of walking," the agency said, quoting the official, who was not named.

"We have reasons to believe that there was no surgery ... but we cannot reveal such details," he added.
