The first May of the year, like many others, is affected by the corona pandemic. Party leaders have moved their speeches from squares to studios, and where there are usually crowds on May 1st, this year was completely empty.
Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) and the Left Party Party leader Jonas Sjöstedt both gave live broadcast speeches, here in front of empty squares.
"My friends, everyone who, like me, had hoped to go out in the sun today and train together," said Jonas Sjöstedt (V).
