“The test for the determination of antibodies to coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 ... finally registered by Roszdravnadzor. This means that now it can be used to identify people who have already had COVID-19, ”he wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, the test allows you to see the response of the immune system to infection with coronavirus, which appears after some time and lasts for a long time.
Efimov noted that such testing is suitable for those who during the illness were not tested for coronavirus.
“If a person has antibodies in his blood, then he has already met with COVID-19,” the scientist wrote.
Test systems have already been handed over to several hospitals for testing doctors working in the red zone, and after a while the Hematology Research Center will launch a test test service for everyone.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko announced the development in Russia of a test system for detecting antibodies in plasma, which can be used to treat patients with coronavirus.
