According to statistics, 1478 new cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in the Federal Republic of Germany per day, 173 patients with a positive coronavirus test died.
The total number of infected in Germany is 159,119, more than 6,200 of which have died.
Earlier, several hundred residents of Berlin came out to protest against the restrictive measures introduced by the authorities to combat the epidemic of coronavirus.
