April 30, 2020 The prize for investigative journalism returns: "Justice and truth Franco Giustolisi", which recalls the correspondent of Il Giorno, Paese Sera, Rai and Espresso whose name is linked to important reports on the Mafia, terrorism and corruption and investigations that shed light on the perpetrators of the Nazi-Fascist massacres in Italy from 1943 to 1945, in Sant'Anna di Stazzema and Fivizzano, in the province of Massa Carrara.

And just Fivizzano, where 400 civilians were killed in the summer of '44, will host the next edition of the Prize. Fivizzano is a symbolic place of memory, here, in August last year, the Italian President Mattarella and the President of the German Republic Steinmeier met.

On the 75th anniversary of the Liberation, just as Italy and the whole of Europe seek a difficult unity in the face of a new and unexpected emergency such as the Pandemic, the award recalls and updates Giustolisi's civil, human and professional commitment. The surveys carried out from September 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 will be able to participate in the competition. The winners will be announced on November 10 (sixth anniversary of the death of Franco Giustolisi). The award ceremony is scheduled for January of the next year in the Chamber of Deputies
