In a resolution entitled "Israeli aggressive plans to annex parts of the occupied Palestinian territory in 1967", issued yesterday, Arab foreign ministers called on the American administration to abide by the United Nations Charter and its resolutions related to the conflict in the Middle East region, and to refrain from supporting the plans and maps of the Israeli occupation government Covering the so-called American-Israeli "deal of the century", which aims to annex and occupy occupied Palestinian lands by force, and threatens to destroy the foundations and opportunities for peace sought in the region.

At the end of the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, the ministers held, through the "video conference" headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Yousef bin Alawi, "the occupation government and the American administration, the consequences of implementing these plans on international stability, security and peace."

The foreign ministers stressed that "the Arab countries will support by all political, diplomatic, legal and financial means any decisions or steps taken by the State of Palestine to confront Israeli plans to commit the crime of annexation and colonial settlement expansion."

They emphasized a comprehensive and just peace based on international law, international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, which is based on a two-state solution to ensure the embodiment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

They stressed the need to launch serious and effective negotiations within a specific time frame and with international sponsorship on the basis of international legitimacy decisions, approved references and agreements signed to resolve the conflict and achieve peace that people accept.

The Arab foreign ministers called on the International Quartet to convene an urgent meeting to save the chances of peace and a two-state solution, and to take an international position consistent with international decisions and the references of the peace process, including the road map and the Arab peace initiative, to compel the Israeli occupation government to stop implementing its colonial plans, including annexation and settlement expansion. And to end the Israeli occupation that started in 1967.

The Council of Arab Foreign Ministers strongly condemned Israeli policies and practices against the Palestinian people and their sanctities, and the blockade of the Gaza Strip.

The Arab foreign ministers decided to keep the council in a permanent session to follow the developments of the Israeli aggressive plans mentioned.

The ministers blamed the occupation government and the American administration for the implementation of settlement plans on international stability, security and peace.
