It was at the end of last week that Uppsala police made a strike against a shop in the city.

- The municipality had announced that the store is no longer authorized to sell tobacco, says Jonas Eronen, who is the police spokesperson.

Some police officers scouted one evening and found that the sale of tobacco products took place several times during the evening.

- You go into this store and find a lot of tobacco that is seized, says Jonas Eronen.

May provide imprisonment

The value of the tobacco seized amounted to approximately SEK 450,000.

- Two people are arrested and a third is interrogated, says Jonas Eronen.

The arrested persons were released after questioning.

- If the fitting turns out to be wrong, they get everything back, but I doubt it, says Jonas Eronen.

If, on the other hand, it turns out that tobacco has been the subject of crime, it will be destroyed.

Illegal sale of tobacco can result in imprisonment.
