The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, issued an order to partially lift the curfew in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from yesterday to 13 May next, from nine in the morning until five in the evening, while maintaining the complete curfew for 24 hours In the holy city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and the neighborhoods that had previously been declared isolated in previous decisions and data, and the matter came based on what was submitted by the competent health authorities, regarding the measures taken by the Kingdom in the face of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).

The royal decree stipulated that in addition to the activities excluded in the previous decisions, some economic and commercial activities are allowed to be opened and practiced for their activities in the aforementioned grace period, starting from April 29 this year until May 13, in the areas of wholesale and retail trade and commercial centers (malls) .

The royal order stressed the continued prevention of any activity inside those centers that does not achieve physical distance, including beauty clinics, barber salons, sports and health clubs, recreational centers, cinemas, beauty salons, restaurants and cafes, and other activities determined by the competent authorities.

The royal order affirmed that contracting companies and factories are allowed to return to practice their activities without restrictions on time, depending on the nature of their business, starting from April 29 to May 13, and he also stressed the continued application of social divergence measures, including preventing social gatherings for more than five people, Such as: weddings, funeral councils, and others, as well as gathering in public places at times of permitting roaming, indicating that planned penalties will be imposed, and facilities that violate regulations and instructions will be closed according to the established procedures.

In addition, the General Presidency for the affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque applied precautionary measures with a social spacing between worshipers, during the performance of Tarawih prayers in the Sacred Mosque, in implementation of preventive measures that confirm the separation between individuals.

Yesterday, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced the registration of 1223 new cases of Corona virus, bringing the total number of cases to 17,522 cases.
