The Al-Wefaq government has recently advanced in the vicinity of the "Al-Watiyah" air base controlled by Haftar (Anatolia) forces  .

Raids and battles
The spokesman of the Libyan reconciliation government forces, Mohamed Qanunu, said on Friday that government aircraft launched four raids on the vicinity of the "Al-Wattia" airbase, which is located in the far west of the country.

The Al-Wefaq forces also destroyed a fuel truck and a military vehicle for retired Major General Khalifa Hifter's forces near the city of Bani Walid, south of Tarhuna.

It stated that these raids aim to cut supplies to what it described as militias attacking the capital, Tripoli.

Military sources confirmed to the island that the artillery of the Al-Wefaq forces targeted the sites of Haftar forces inside Tarhuna yesterday evening, after the Al-Wefaq forces announced the targeting of a fuel tanker in the Shmeikh area, south of Bani Walid, with three strikes.

In the Libyan capital Tripoli, three civilians were killed yesterday evening and others were injured in a random bombardment that targeted residential neighborhoods in the Ain Zara and Damascus districts, damaging the homes of civilians.

The fighting fronts south of Tripoli are witnessing a cautious calm interrupted by mutual artillery shelling between Al-Wefaq government and Haftar forces.

Although Haftar's forces announced on March 21 that they agreed to a truce to focus on anti-Corona efforts, they are continuing an offensive that began on April 4, 2019, to seize Tripoli, the seat of the internationally recognized national reconciliation government.
