The guide for how-to codes that will be applied to public transportation is based on the use of icons and colors to educate the public about prohibited practices, such as not wearing masks or not leaving enough distance from others (social spacing), along with highlighting recommended practices such as wearing gloves and using sterilizers Hand washing, and others.
According to the guide, two sets of guidelines have been identified that will be used in all entrances and exits of metro and bus stations, and in public transport, taxis and public facilities. The first group is mandatory and includes four symbols "forbidden to sit" in some seats in transportation and public facilities, and "passengers only" in taxis and limousines, and "leave a safety distance" (in closed places), and "wearing a muzzle" in all places, The second set of educational instructions includes three symbols: "the use of gloves", "the use of medical sterilizers", and "hand washing". This week, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority will start installing more than 170,000 posters for the new guiding symbols at various mass transit stations including Dubai Metro, public transport buses, taxis, limousines, and customer happiness centers.
