Paris SG will play the Final 4 of the Handball Champions League at the end of December, after the cancellation of the 8ths and quarters due to the pandemic of new coronavirus, announced the European Federation (EHF) Friday.

As the calendar for the resumption of competitions imagined by the EHF for June / July cannot be held, the Confederation has decided to qualify for the Final 4 of the Men's Champions League the first two teams of the two high hens, namely PSG , Barcelona, the Germans from Kiel and the Hungarians from Veszprem. He will compete on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 December in Cologne.

For the Women's Champions League, the EHF plans to organize the quarter-finals on Thursday 3 September in Budapest, then to play the Final 4 still in Budapest on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.

If the competition cannot take place on these dates in early September, the EHF is working with the Hungarian Federation to find a date in October, with only a Final 4 in Budapest for which Metz and Brest would be qualified in company of the Györ Hungarians and Danes d'Esbjerg (the first two of the two main round groups).

The EHF has also canceled the last qualification matches for the Euro-2020 ladies, and the World-2021 gentlemen. The French women's and men's teams, through their classification respectively at Euro-2018 and Euro-2020, are thus qualified for these two competitions.

The French handball players will defend, from December 3 to 20, in Norway and Denmark, their continental title won at home in 2018, while the French handball players will compete in the Mondial-2021 in Egypt from January 14 to 31.
