Wendick on the recovery fund: The loan is an obstacle

Following a video meeting between heads of state and government in Europe, the EU today took a step closer to agreeing on a recovery fund to counter the effects of the corona pandemic. A major obstacle that divides EU countries is that the fund will need to be financed with loans. Something that could pose risks for wealthier countries in the northern part of the continent. - Countries like the Netherlands and Germany are not particularly keen on securing loans for countries in southern Europe, says SVT's European correspondent Christoffer Wendick.
