Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has extended the validity of permits for learning to drive vehicles in accredited institutes in the emirate until the end of next June, for the permits issued during the closing period of driving education institutes in Dubai, in implementation of the precautionary measures taken at the country level to limit the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid) -19).

The driving institutes of training have confirmed to their clients that these permits, as well as the date of opening the traffic file for the trainees, will remain in accordance with the authority’s circulars until the end of next June, and until new decisions are announced.

Driving institutes in Dubai were closed on March 26 for two weeks, to stop giving practical lessons, lectures and tests, to prevent any kind of gatherings during the period of national sterilization and the application of preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus.

The authority renewed the decision to close the training institutes for driving vehicles after the end of the two weeks, that is, on the seventh of April, to stop working until further notice, and all branches of institutes operating inside the centers and commercial malls were closed with the closure of these centers within the preventive measures.

The institutes during the period before the closure applied some precautionary measures during the practical tests, as they stopped taking three students from the examiners inside the vehicle during the experimental test or what is known as a road test, and only one student was in the vehicle to undergo the test, within the framework of Apply the required spacing.
