US Senator Bernie Sanders said that President Donald Trump has not listened to the voice of science in the face of the emerging Corona virus, which has turned into a global pandemic (pandemic).

Sanders wrote on Twitter today, Tuesday, "The American president failed to listen to the voice of scientists dealing with the Corona crisis," adding, "This failure is the reason we are suffering from the outcome of this crisis."

He added: "We must take matters seriously and make the health of Americans a top priority, not the bank accounts of billionaires and large corporations."

Sanders pointed out that a poll conducted by NBC News and the American Wall Street Journal shows that 60% of Americans polled are concerned that easing the closure imposed on the country will increase the number of corona deaths, compared to The level the country is witnessing under the strict procedures.

US President Donald Trump said earlier today that his administration is doing a great job in confronting the new Corona virus, adding: "The approval rate for what we do among Republicans is 96%, and that means we are doing a great job in dealing with the epidemic."

Many countries in the world have taken exceptional measures, ranging from a flight ban to a curfew and the isolation of entire regions, and even the closure of places of worship, to prevent the spread of the virus that causes "Covid-19".

The number of newly infected Coronavirus has exceeded 2.4 million, including more than 171,000 deaths, while more than 650,000 have recovered.
