“On April 19, the Ministry of Defense of Russia, at the request of the Moldovan side, carried out an operation to transfer by Russian An-124“ Ruslan ”military transport aviation from Shanghai to Chisinau medical equipment allocated by China to combat the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19,” says in a statement.
According to the agency, medical equipment with a total weight of about 40 tons was delivered by plane of the Russian Aerospace Forces to Chisinau at no cost.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian and Italian military experts sanitized homes for the elderly in two boarding houses in the Italian cities of Serina and Verdello.
