On Europe 1, the economist Nicolas Bouzou invited Sunday to sign the #JedonnemesRTT petition. The signatories, including several parliamentarians, ask the government that RTTs or the amount of money corresponding to RTTs can be redistributed to caregivers, exhausted by the coronavirus crisis.

INTERVIEW

"If we can join acts to our applause, it's even better." For Nicolas Bouzou, economist, it is urgent to be able to redistribute the RTT of voluntary employees to caregivers. At Wendy Bouchard's microphone on Sunday, he explained why signing the #JedonnemesRTT petition, as he did himself, was a notable civic act.

"The nursing staff will be exhausted"

To do this, the employee would have to meet several conditions. Nicolas Bouzou explains that if "you are an employee, that you want to give RTT and that your company agrees", then the employee continues to go to work. "For its part, the company pays the corresponding part of the salary into a fund. The money is then redistributed to hospitals which can convert it either into RTT or into an additional bonus for carers", he specifies.

I support the proposal of @gpm_fr which consists in modifying the law so that each employee can offer his RTT to the nursing staff. @ murielpenicaud @ BrunoLeMaire # SolidariteCOVID19 # SOLIDARITEHOPITAUXhttps: //t.co/fneN0PlH7W

This idea of a device, launched by the Pasteur Mutualité group, is part of all the initiatives that are currently flourishing in favor of carers, exhausted by the coronavirus crisis. It has the merit of projecting itself into the future. "When we get out of the crisis, the nursing staff will be exhausted," says Nicolas Bouzou. "They are already under tension all year round but, after the crisis, they will really be in a state of exhaustion. Conversely, a certain number of people in companies will be happy to go to work, to find their office and colleagues, "continues the economist.

"The system is not very complicated to assemble"

However, he insists that participation in #JedonnemesRTT must remain voluntary. "It is very important to keep your holidays and vacations" if you wish, he adds, all the more in this context that Nicolas Bouzou judges "trying".

CORONAVIRUS ESSENTIALS

> How long are healthy carriers contagious?

> What are the side effects of chloroquine?

> Adulterated tests, false calls for donations ...: watch out for scams linked to the coronavirus

> Reading, board games ... How to stimulate your brain during confinement?

> How to avoid gaining pounds during confinement?

Problem: for the moment, the regulations do not allow the RTTs to be redistributed anyhow. Today, "you can transfer your RTT to another employee within the same company but it is not possible outside", says Nicolas Bouzou.

But according to him, there is a solution for #JedonnemesRTT to see the light of day. "We need a law, but the system is not very complicated to set up. We can fairly easily pour the corresponding money into a fund and redistribute it," said Nicolas Bouzou, who is awaiting the green light from the government. "He is still very busy with managing the crisis, but at the same time we are entering a phase where we need to plan for the future," he said.
