The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi asked any party wishing to organize activities for non-Muslims in the emirate the need to fill out a form and approve it by the cleric from the churches approved in the emirate.

She explained in a circular issued today to directors of tourist establishments, organizers of events and owners of tourist halls and restaurants that the validity of the approval issued to hold prayers for non-Muslims is valid for a period not exceeding 6 months.

She stressed the necessity not to hold private parties that include religious rituals except by clerics authorized by the Department of Community Development and after taking the necessary approvals through the events licensing system.

She pointed out that the electronic link system has been activated with the Department of Community Development since mid-March to take the necessary approvals for activities for non-Muslims after the form designated for that is attached.

The Department of Culture and Tourism attached to the circular a request for an effective residence permit for a community and a form for an effective residence permit for a place of worship.
