“Today, the first two cases of the death of pregnant women have been recorded,” RI Novosti quoted the Deputy Minister of Health Hugo Lopez-Gatel.
According to him, one of the women died after giving birth through a cesarean section, her child was not injured.
The Mexican Ministry of Health noted that pregnant women are at increased risk for complications from COVID-19.
In Mexico, 3441 cases of coronavirus were detected, 194 people died.
