The competent authorities in the state referred 129 persons from the quarantine violators to the Public Prosecutor, because they did not adhere to the period set by the competent authorities to confront the new Corona virus, to maintain public safety, and not to endanger the lives of others.
It will suffice to open a communication to prove the violation and inform the violator - without the need to take his statements - and assign him to pay the fine the first time, amounting to 50 thousand dirhams, which doubled when he committed the violation for the second time, to 100 thousand dirhams.
In the event that the accused is unable to pay the value of the fine, the competent authority is addressed to include the violation in the criminal electronic system - in the Ministry of Interior or the local police leaderships - to collect it from him by legal means.
Violators of the quarantine decision are referred to the emergency prosecution, if their violation is repeated for the third time, for investigation, and refer them to trial to punish them with imprisonment for a period that may reach three years, or a fine of not less than 100 thousand dirhams, according to the law.
And notify the «emergency prosecution», in the event that the violator is found to be carrying the virus, to convert the violation into a criminal case, according to the crimes mentioned in the Penal Code and the law against communicable diseases.
According to Cabinet Resolution No. (17) for the year 2020, the Emergency and Crisis Prosecution may impose a fine on violators referred to it, when the violation is committed for the first time, or double it when it is committed for the second time.
