The Israeli occupation exploits the health conditions and the crises caused by the outbreak of the Corona virus, to pass its Judaization plans, and its settlement ambitions in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, to change the status quo in it, and to impose a new reality on Jerusalemites, amid their preoccupation with taking preventive measures against the emerging disease.

The occupation conducted a series of dangerous measures in the city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the most prominent of which is the closure of the main doors of the Temple Mount, leading to its courtyards, with the opening of the Mughrabi Gate, which it controls, and the religious Jews taking to pray at the Al-Buraq Wall, and settlers enter it during their storming of the blessed mosque.

A spokesman for the defense committee for the Silwan neighborhood said: “The ambitions of the occupation in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Holy City are many, and in light of the (Corona) crisis, it plans to completely close Al-Aqsa to worshipers and Jerusalemites, on the pretext of preventing the spread of the Corona virus.”

Abu Diab stresses the need for the World Health Organization to take the necessary measures to pressure the occupation to prevent settlers from reaching the Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially those suspected of contracting the virus, to avoid the spread of the disease between Jerusalemites and the Al-Aqsa area.

The real danger

The Department of Endowments, Religious Affairs, Islamic Organizations, and Mass Follow-up Committees in the Holy City, warned of the occupation’s manipulation of the closure decision, to open the doors of the mosque to settler gangs, which stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the guard of the occupation army, along with the difficult circumstances of the “Corona” crisis, to pass plans to control The Temple Mount, and its emptying of Jerusalemites.

For his part, the director of the Al-Aqsa Academy for Endowment and Heritage in the city of Jerusalem and the Director General of the Jerusalem Endowments, Najeh Bakirat, confirms that the occupation does not have the right to interfere in the affairs of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, indicating that the decision to close or open it, and all procedures within its courtyards are owned by the Islamic Endowments Department in Holy city.

Bakirat says: "The settlers' gangs storm the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is the real danger to the mosque, and the guards of the Holy Sanctuary for any harm from the settlers with the disease."
