President Moon Jae-in held a joint meeting to develop Corona 19 treatments and vaccines. While promising the government's active support, Moon called on South Korea to try to stay ahead of the development of therapeutics and vaccines, just as it has become a model country in quarantine.

President Moon Jae-in said, first, it is very important to develop treatments and vaccines to fundamentally address the Corona 19 crisis.

President Moon, who emphasized the need for collaboration between scientists, research institutes, businesses, hospitals, and the government, said the government will also strengthen public-private cooperation to help develop Corona19 treatments and vaccines.

[President Moon Jae-in: We will invest KRW 210 billion in the development of corona19 vaccines, and we will increase the competitiveness of the therapeutic and vaccine industries by investing in R & D for the development of therapeutic drugs reflected in the additional circumstances and establishing a new virus research institute.]

In addition, we promised to open biosafety facilities to the private sector and provide resources necessary for the development of treatments and vaccines such as samples of infected people and blood of cured people.

He added that he would also introduce a rapid clinical approval process.

President Moon was informed of the results of research on medicines that are effective in treating corona19, and also examined the progress of clinical trials for candidate drugs for treatment.
