A 39-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday by the correctional court of Béziers (Hérault) to 18 months in prison, to which were added 8 months due to the revocation of a previous suspended sentence, for having committed violence on his ex -country, says Raphaël Balland, the prosecutor of Béziers.

This 30-year-old was convicted in 2017 for similar acts.

Prohibition on entering into contact with the victim

The gendarmes had intervened on April 4, at the victim's home, in a commune of Hérault, where this man found him regularly despite his prohibition to get in touch with her, because of his previous conviction, continues the representative of the parquet.

The man was prosecuted for slapping, scratching or punching the victim in the chest on April 2, in front of their five children. He then refused to leave.
