Saudi Minister of Health Tawfiq Al-Rabiah said yesterday that studies expected that the number of coronavirus infections in the Kingdom in the coming weeks would reach 200,000, while the authorities imposed a comprehensive ban in the capital and major cities to curb the spread of the corona's need.

Minister Al-Rabiah added, in a statement broadcast on his Twitter account, that four studies conducted by Saudi and international experts specializing in the field of epidemics reached a "conclusion that the number of injuries during the next few weeks may range between ten thousand cases at the minimum level, up to two hundred thousand cases alone. the above".

The Saudi official warned his citizens, saying, "Our commitment to strict instructions and procedures reduces the number of injuries to a minimum, while non-compliance will lead to a huge increase in the number of injuries."

Yesterday, the health authorities in the Kingdom recorded 272 new infections with the Corona virus, bringing the total number to 2795, and three new deaths from the Corona virus were announced, bringing the number of people who died from the virus to 41, while the total of the recovered was approximately 615.

In a related context, the Saudi Ministry of Interior said in a statement that it was decided to impose a comprehensive curfew in Riyadh, Tabuk, Dammam, Dhahran, and Hofuf, as well as in various parts of the governorates of Jeddah, Taif, Qatif, and Khobar.

Entry to or exit from these areas will be permitted only for the categories excluded from workers in the vital sectors in the public and private sectors whose work requires their continued performance during the prevention period.

Residents will not be allowed to leave their homes except to fulfill the necessary needs such as health care and catering, within the neighborhood of the neighborhood in which they reside, from six in the morning until three in the afternoon daily.

In Saudi Arabia, injuries represent more than a third of the total number registered in the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council combined, as the region recorded about 8,000 cases and 60 deaths.
