The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has directed medical aid to Italy to support its efforts to confront and contain the outbreak of the new Coruna virus.

The assistance includes the dispatch of two Qatar Emiri Air Force military planes, loaded with two field hospitals, that are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, Wednesday.

It also includes sending two additional military aircraft, on Thursday, in another part of the Qatari medical aid.

The area of the first field hospital is about 5200 square meters, and the second is 4000 square meters, with a capacity of 1000 beds for both hospitals, which were provided with modern technical equipment and equipment, for the treatment of people with coronavirus.

It is noteworthy that Italy is the country most affected by the virus, with 17,127 deaths and more than 135,000 infections so far.

However, the continued decline in the rates of injuries and deaths reflects the government's isolation measures that are bearing fruit.

According to the latest statistics, the new corona virus has claimed more than 76,000 lives, infected 1.3 million worldwide, and the number of people recovering from it reached 281 thousand.
