The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has obligated the groups currently obliged to use public transport to wear a muzzle while using it, and also called on passengers to adhere to the precautionary measures taken during the current period, such as adhering to a safe distance, stressing that gloves should be worn during the use of public buses and taxis.

The authority called upon the groups that need to continue its work in these circumstances to use the seats allocated on buses to maintain physical spacing between all passengers on public buses (Dubai bus), in order to ensure their safety and commitment to the preventive measures applied to limit the spread of the Corona Covid 19 virus.

It warned all workers in vital sectors during the current period who are forced to use public transportation to ensure that they wear masks and gloves during their necessary trips.

The authority provides 119 buses for public buses during the day until 8 pm, at which time the lines are limited to 13 lines serving vital sectors, including 19 hospitals operating throughout the city of Dubai. The authority also reduced the number of taxis during the night period in which the "national sterilization program" is applied from 8 pm until 6 am, and the authority also reduced the request for those vehicles, to be through the "Karim" and "Uber" applications only.

The authority implemented yesterday more precautionary and preventive measures aimed at protecting the health and safety of community members, as it installed health isolation separators on the taxi vehicles belonging to "Dubai Taxi", to isolate the driver from the passengers, in order to achieve the highest levels of protection for its users.

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has suspended the Dubai Metro, tram and marine transport service as part of the exceptional preventive measures taken at the emirate level to combat the spread of the new Corona virus.
