Radio Nova announced Monday the launch of an "international confined radio station", whose members will offer each evening on their airwaves a program produced by one of the stations participating in this network, which extends from Bologna to Johannesburg and Seoul to Los Angeles.

Neu Radio de Bologne in Italy, one of the countries hardest hit by Covid-19, has prepared an inaugural program which will be broadcast Monday evening on Radio Nova.

For the next few days, around twenty alternative radios have already taken up the game: Dublab in Los Angeles (United States), CISM in Montreal (Canada), Kaya FM in Johannesburg (South Africa), German radio Cosmo, Radio Eksen in Istanbul (Turkey), Teder in Tel Aviv (Israel), or the Seoul Community Radio, in South Korea. These will be music-dominated programs.

"Borders, doors are closing. Can we continue to tell common stories through the internet?" Said Emmanuel Hoog, ex-CEO of AFP and director of New Independent Editions (LNEI), which bring together the personal interests of banker Matthieu Pigasse in the media and culture (Radio Nova, Les Inrocks, Rock en Seine ...).

Radio Nova will offer a playlist including songs by Mathieu Boogaerts, 113, Françoise Hardy or Italian Andrea Laszlo by Simone.
