Divorce cases in Fujairah increased during the past year by 2% compared to 2018, registering 199 divorces compared to 195 cases in 2018, according to the Fujairah Statistics Center through the statistical yearbook for 2019.
According to the results of the Fujairah Statistics Center, the emirate witnessed 143 cases of divorce between citizens, 21 cases between a citizen and a foreigner, and four cases of a citizen and a foreigner.
The legal advisor and lawyer, Bracelets of Al-Naqbi, said that the increase in divorce cases is the result of instantaneous and preventable emotions, such as anger and intensity of emotion that ends a marriage that may have lasted more than 10 years.
She pointed out that many people's ignorance of the legislation and details of personal status laws have a major role in the occurrence of problems between the two parties to the conflict, noting that awareness programs for married and future marriage, and their awareness of the articles of the Personal Status Law, especially that affect aspects of their lives, such as alimony, vision, custody, and overnight Simplified; contributes to low divorce rates.
She explained that the reasons that she reached through her pleading in divorce cases are the bad ten between the two spouses through cruelty, mistreatment, verbal abuse, physical violence, negligence and non-observance of the other, and continuing stubbornness may lead to divorce.
