"The eleventh Il-76 aircraft of the Russian military aerospace aviation flew from the airfield of Chkalovsky (Moscow region) to the Republic of Serbia to help combat the spread of coronavirus infection," TASS reports.

It also reports on the arrival at the Bataynitsa airfield, located 20 km to the north-west of Belgrade, the seventh IL-76 Russian Aerospace Forces with humanitarian aid.

Earlier, the Russian embassy said that on April 3-4, it is planned to carry out 11 flights that will deliver humanitarian aid to Serbia to fight the coronavirus.

On March 26, Serbia asked Russia to help in the fight against COVID-19. On April 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the creation of an aviation group to deliver assistance to Serbia.
