This week, the government commissioned the Public Health Authority to develop a strategy to increase the number of tests for covid-19 in the country.
But that does not mean that the regions have already increased the sampling.

- We notice that there are misconceptions about it. We have seen an increased influx of people who want to be sampled to our hospitals. We are still not testing people who do not have symptoms or who have only mild symptoms, says Rickard Lundin, health care manager in special health care management at regional level in Region Östergötland, in a statement.

The current sampling directives continue to apply for the time being, which means that "sampling is done on patients who have acute infectious disease with fever and / or respiratory symptoms and who are either hospitalized or deemed to need hospital care".
Priority is also given to prioritizing staff in health care and the elderly.
