On Wednesday, two young Roubaisiens appeared in Lille court for multiple breaches of the containment rule to fight against the coronavirus epidemic. The two were arrested on Tuesday, a few hours apart in the same rue de Roubaix.

It was while patrolling around 10:20 a.m. in the rue de Mouvaux, in Roubaix, that the police saw a young man of 17 years old. When they checked him, the latter was unable to present a certificate of derogatory displacement. But looking around a bit, the officials discovered that the young man was not at his first attempt.

Since the start of confinement, he has already been fined five times. With this new control, the minor therefore wins a sixth fine, a placement in police custody and a removal before the prosecution for the next day. At the end of his appearance, he was left free.

Same scenario a few hours later

Also on Wednesday, shortly after 3 p.m., another police patrol passed rue de Mouvaux again. The officers noticed a 19-year-old young man who was not unknown to them, who had been fined the same morning for breach of confinement. And when the police check him again, he can no longer justify his presence on the street for lack of a valid certificate. Furthermore, he too had already been fined five times in the previous days.

Like the minor a few hours earlier, the young adult was arrested and placed in police custody. He too was referred the next day and tried immediately before the criminal court of Lille. If he emerged free from the hearing, he must nevertheless perform 60 hours of community service.
