On Thursday, the Karlsrkona City Council made a decision on how to use the 34 welfare million, and another 20 million from the municipality's reserve, to meet the effects of the pandemic.

This is after an agreement between the municipal council's chair Sandra Bizzozero (S) and the municipal council's second vice chairman Camilla Brunsberg (M).

Of the total SEK 54 million, half will go to the actions that are needed now, and the other half will be placed in a reserve for future efforts as a result of the pandemic.

This is how resources are distributed

• 10 million to the Knowledge Board

• 1 million to Student Health
The Knowledge Board is tasked with ensuring that preventive conversations and preventative work are done to counter mental illness among young people.

• 2 million for summer school
Students who need extra study should be offered summer school.

• 2 million to quickly educate individuals who have been laid off
So that they can be educated and strengthen their welfare.

• 3 million to the Functional Support Committee
To shorten the gender of LSS accommodation, secure staffing and provide resources to contact persons.

• 3 million to strengthen preventive work in the social services
Violence in close relationships and vulnerable situations can increase throughout the municipality, both in the home and in public environments.

• 5 million to the Elderly Council
