BelTA informs about this with reference to the press service of the President of Belarus.

In his congratulations, Lukashenko noted that at present two countries are at the threshold of a new unification stage.

“The development of mutually acceptable solutions in the spirit of true alliance is a serious reserve for a worthy future for the peoples of Belarus and Russia,” the Belarusian president noted.

He also noted that the beginning of integration processes within the Union State contributed to filling bilateral cooperation “with a deeper content and created real advantages for effective economic and social development”.

In late February, Lukashenko expressed his readiness for "real integration" with Russia within the Union State, but without compulsion.
