- We want those who sit at home in the cabins, either in quarantine or because they work from home, to have a little joy in everyday life. In addition, the cultural workers who come here will have a chance to show up, says Martina Sundén, who is one of the program leaders for the new program.

In ordinary cases, she works as a freelance actor and she has clearly noticed how the corona pandemic has affected the opportunities to support herself as a cultural practitioner.

"From one hour to another, all our jobs disappeared, it was like pulling a rug for the entire cultural industry," she says.

From the municipality's perspective, the initiative is seen as a way to support local cultural life through the corona crisis, to ensure that local cultural practitioners will be able to feed on the culture in the future.

- This is an exceptional effort at an exceptional time. We are very anxious that we should maintain a local cultural life even after the corona crisis, says municipal councilor Johan Persson (S).
