According to Russian satellite network reports, Italian supercar brand Lamborghini announced on its official website on March 31 that some of the company's factories in Sant'Agata Bologna, Italy, will begin producing masks and protective masks.
The medical protective equipment produced will be provided to a hospital in Bologna, where medical staff are working with the University of Bologna to fight the new crown virus.
Stefano Domenicali, president of Lamborghini, said: "In such an emergency, we feel we have to do our part. Therefore, we have decided to provide to Sant'Orsola-Malpighi Hospital Support. We have been working with this hospital for many years ... We will work together to support those who are at the frontline of the epidemic every day, and the ultimate victory will belong to us. "
The plant is expected to produce 1,000 masks and 200 protective masks daily.
Italy is the European country with the most severe outbreak of new crown pneumonia. At 18:00 local time on March 31st, data from the Italian Civil Defense Department showed that the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Italy increased to 105,792, and the cumulative number of deaths reached 12,428.
