Dozens of Palestinians attended the body of the martyr Islam Abdel-Ghani Dweikat, 22, in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank, who died of wounds he sustained after the occupation army shot him three weeks ago.

The funeral procession set out in front of the house of the martyr in Beita towards the mosque for prayers, before he was buried in the town cemetery.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that "Dweikat was martyred due to a serious head injury caused by the Israeli army’s bullets three weeks ago, during clashes that broke out in Jabal Al-Arma in the village of Beita.”

The activities of the town of Beta were mourned through loudspeakers in the mosques of the martyr Dweikat, as was reported by the pages of the town's communication websites.

For his part, Munir Al-Jaghoub, an anti-settlement activist in the town of Beta, told Al Jazeera Net that the young man Dweikat was killed after yesterday afternoon Wednesday in the consultative hospital in Ramallah, where he was transferred after his injury due to the deterioration of his condition at the time.

Al-Jaghoub added, "The martyr Dweikat continued to face a difficult health condition after his injury and was unconscious throughout his stay in the hospital, where a serious deterioration in his health led to his martyrdom."

It is noteworthy that the young Dweikat was wounded on the day of the martyrdom of the boy, Muhammad Abdel Karim Hamayel, his town, as the Israeli soldiers stormed Jabal Al-Arma and attacked the residents of the village who were standing against the settlers ’raids.

The occupation army opened fire on the Almoravids at close range, which resulted in the death of Hamayel, Dweikat, and about twenty residents of the village.
