Closed school with new corona Assistance in optical network maintenance for online learning April 2 4:25

As the spread of the new coronavirus spreads, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has decided to subsidize some of the costs to municipalities and other organizations that have newly installed optical fiber lines in an attempt to expand the environment for learning on the Internet.

While many children are staying at home due to temporary closure due to the spread of the new coronavirus, services that can be learned on the Internet are expanding.

In an effort to expand this learning environment, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has decided to subsidize up to two-thirds of the cost to local governments and businesses that newly install fiber optic lines.

These efforts are being conducted in areas where network development is difficult, such as remote islands and mountainous areas. However, this time, we are also including areas where there are schools with poor network development.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is making adjustments to include 3 billion yen as the expenses necessary for the supplementary budget draft this year.
