- We are very happy and proud of the opportunity to own and manage this charming red little house and all the history it carries, says Johan Ladenberg, Deputy CEO of Lundbergs Fastigheter.

Great interest in the unique wooden house

The house was initially built by Holmen as a service residence and many were curious about the old house from the 1750s.

The starting price, which was SEK 700,000, rose quickly when it was time for bidding and the final price reached SEK 2,400,000.

- There has been a great interest in the house and it is fun that in the end there is a large and serious player buying the property, says Jimmie Spångtorp, realtor at Östgöta real estate agency.

Great need for renovation

The old property is the only wooden house for its time that remains in Norrköping's inner city and is in great need of renovation.

- Norrköping can feel secure with the property will get a lot of love and that the fine cultural history will be respected, preserved and told further, says Johan Ladenberg.
