Despite a heart massage, the emergency services failed to save him. A 50-year-old man died on Tuesday evening around 7:30 p.m. in Saffré (Loire-Atlantique), reports the fire and rescue service. According to the gendarmerie, the victim had gone out for a ride with a friend, each riding a quad.

For some reason, and while they were following each other in a field, the man fell and was heavily hit in the head, losing his helmet in shock. No longer seeing him, his friend turned around and found him unconscious. He was in cardio-respiratory arrest when gendarmes, firefighters and SMUR arrived on the scene.
