- There was a fire in the basement. The rescue services drilled holes in the windowsill and injected powder. When they went in, there was only glow left, says Göran Josefsson, who is the emergency manager in emergency preparedness in Malå.

The person living in the villa alerted SOS Alarm himself from a fixed telephone line, but then could not reach as she was forced to leave the home in heavy smoke.

"There was a lot of smoke in the house, but no one was injured," says Josefsson.

The alarm came at 5.30 pm. Just over an hour later, the rescue service was left at the scene to evacuate.

What caused the fire is not yet known. According to the emergency services, the risk of spread was small.

- It is quite a good distance to the neighboring houses and the fire never came out of the house.
