In total for Sweden between March 23-29, the Swedish Employment Service has registered 18 433 persons who have been notified of dismissal. For Östergötland, 1153 people are registered during the same period.
- We have never seen such high alert figures in a month, says Annika Sundén, Head of Analysis at the Employment Service in a press release.
A total of 36,800 people have been notified of the dismissal in March for the country.
The industries that have been worst hit are hotels and restaurants, staffing and the hospitality industry.
