Japanese famous comedian Ken Shimura died of coronavirus infection-19 (Corona 19) at a hospital in Tokyo on the 29th. 70 years old.

According to NHK and Kyodo News on the 30th, Mr. Shimura was sent to the hospital on the 20th after symptoms such as boredom and was diagnosed with severe pneumonia.

Subsequently, Shimura's agency announced the infection of Corona 19 on the 25th.

Shimura continued to receive treatment at the hospital, but died at about 11:10 the night before.

Born in Tokyo, Shimura was a member of the popular comedy band The Drifters.

Until recently, he continued to play in TV, movies and venues, and was loved by the Japanese people.

He also conducted a popular program called 'Comparative Comparative Tour' of Japanese terrestrial private broadcasting TBS.

He had a great love for body gag, and he invited the 'master' team of KBS 'Gag Concert' in 2011 to his own program.
