The corona crisis is now increasingly reflected in the labor market. In the past week, the number of notifications has doubled.
So far in March, a total of 36,800 have been notified of dismissal in Sweden. It can be compared to 3292 people the same month last year.
Most affected are the metropolitan regions, Stockholm, Västra Götaland and Skåne. Thereafter, Jönköping County sits on 1626 notified persons during the month of March. The same month last year, there were 71 notices in the county.
- Everything is based on the corona crisis. Before it came, it stood still, says Johanna Buchalle, head of the Employment Service in Jönköping County.
The most notice is in the hotel and restaurant industry, staffing, and the hospitality industry, according to the Employment Service.
